Footwear design and Apparel design has been the focus of much of our work over the past fifteen years.
We’ve worked with established brands as both an in-house designers and an independent consultants, designing lifestyle and performance footwear, developing product concepts and contributing to broader creative direction. Our role changes from project to project. Sometimes we’re involved from the first idea through to production. Sometimes we’re brought in to offer a fresh perspective on an existing collection or to help define the direction of future products. In every case, the objective is the same: to create outstanding products that feel honest, functional and enduring.
Experience
Dirk spent several years at G-Star RAW as a Product Designer and as Creative Lead, contributing to product development while working closely with design teams and management on the creative direction of collections. Alongside his work in fashion, We’ve collaborated with Karhu as independent footwear designers, designing both lifestyle and performance footwear. The Karhu XT and the Karhu Legacy are among the projects that continue to be especially meaningful to us, not only because of their commercial success, but because they have remained relevant over time.
Design
We’re interested in products that become more convincing the longer you look at them. That usually comes from clarity rather than complexity. Every line, proportion, material and detail should have a reason for being there. Good design rarely needs explaining. Our work is shaped by curiosity, careful observation and a belief that products should balance aesthetics, function and manufacturability without compromising any of them.
